Chubb Malaysia’s Pneumatic Tube System is an efficient internal transport solution designed to move items quickly and securely between different locations within a building or across multiple buildings. Using a network of interconnected tubes and stations, users can send carriers from room to room, floor to floor, or building to building, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual handling.
What is a Pneumatic Tube System?
A Pneumatic Tube System (PTS) is a network of 4” or 6” diameter PVC tubes that transports items using carriers propelled by vacuum and pressure mechanisms.
Pneumatic Tube System allows fast, safe, and controlled movement of documents, cash, medicines, laboratory samples, and small goods within a building or across multiple sites. It is essential for high-performance facilities in Malaysia seeking operational efficiency, security, and minimal manual handling.
Ensures sensitive materials are transferred safely within a closed and monitored system.
Connect multiple stations across rooms, floors, or buildings for seamless internal logistics.
Built with high-quality materials and manufactured in compliance with strict international standards for consistent performance.
Access and oversee the system from any location, not just at the PC terminal.
Place the item in a carrier at the originating station.
Vacuum and pressure mechanisms push the carrier through the network of PVC tubes.
The carrier arrives at the destination station securely and is retrieved by authorized personnel.
Chubb Malaysia provides consultation, system design, installation, and maintenance to ensure your pneumatic tube system delivers consistent performance, security, and reliability.
The system can transport documents, cash, medicines, laboratory samples, and other items that fit within a carrier weighing up to 20kg.
The maximum payload depends on the carrier size: up to 2 kg for 110 mm carriers and 3 kg for 160 mm carriers.
Each carrier has a maximum transmission time of 5 minutes. If a carrier remains in the system beyond this duration, it will be automatically purged and redirected to the designated reject station for clearing.
A standby Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is provided. During a power outage, system equipment will stop operating except for the PC, which continues running on UPS to maintain transmission records. Once power is restored, any carrier in the tube for more than 5 minutes will be automatically purged.
